Dr. Joe takes LA Grill to the Extreme!

We didn’t ask Joe Klemczewski, PhD to endorse the LA Grill or simply to be our spokesperson. We asked Dr. Joe to work closely with us in our mission to bring you a truly new experience. Joe has published multiple books, spent an entire year researching corrective approaches to childhood obesity, and is a respected contributing editor in the fitness and weight-loss industries. He's simply the best there is in nutritional consulting – and he’s right here in Evansville!

Dr. Joe spends time working with top bodybuilders and models around the world, but he also actively helps local clients with health and weight-loss programs. It’s this expertise that he's excited to bring to the LA Grill & Ale House. Xtreme High Energy Salad
We use a lower-fat cheese and cut the carbs to the bone to bring this high-protein wonder in at 52 grams of protein, 13 grams of carbs (all fibrous), and 11 grams of fat. That’s 52 grams of protein and only 359 calories!
South Beach Chicken Xtreme
Talk about protein! We left 64 grams of protein in this signature entrée while keeping carbs at 7 grams, and reducing fat to 9 grams without decreasing the bold taste!
LA Xtreme Wraps
Order any wrap with a low-carb tortilla to reduce the carb count by 25 grams, ask for fat-free cheese to cut 6-8 grams of fat, ask for the dressing or sauce on the side, and you’re in complete control of your meal!
The Dr. Joe House Xtreme
Dr. Joe likes the health value and crisp taste of deep sea white fish so we combined the Mahi Vera Cruz with a side of steamed vegetables and a side version his favorite salad: the flavorful Sunset Salad to keep him coming back! This is sure to fill you up with 44 grams of protein, 25 grams of carbs (from great vegetables and small amounts of fruit), and only 7 grams of fat for a total of 339 calories.

Joe Recommends...

For Low-Carb Dieters
For a high-protein snack, try the Peel and Eats or Chicken Feathers. Go easy on the dipping sauces since they contain small amounts of carbs.

Most of the salads, including the Santo’s and the Spinach, contain just small amounts of carbs in the vegetables. Order without croutons to save another 10-12 grams of carbs and go light on the dressing. A vinaigrette dressing will be your lowest-carb choice.

If you’re looking for a full entrée, you can’t beat the Lemon Yogurt Chicken. Order a vegetable as your side item and you’re all set!
For Low-Fat Dieters
The Peel n Eat shrimp and the Chicken Feathers pull double duty as both low carb and low fat. One of my favorites is the low-fat tortilla chip starter, or you can go guilt-free with the fresh Fruit Kabob! We’ve worked hard to bring fat down in creating our specialty wraps such as the Tequila Lime Chicken and the Crab Mango. You can drop the fat content in other unique wraps by opting out of cheese, mayo, and some dressings.

We packed the menu full of low-fat salads such as the Santo’s, the Spinach, and the Sunset. Ask for a fat-free dressing, cut back on the cheese, and avoid the egg yolk to cut fat to virtually zero. No one can match the tastes in our Lemon-Yogurt Chicken, Stuffed Tuna, Mahi Vera Cruz, Tuna Fresca, or Salmon Florentine and keep fat as low as we do. Choose from any of our low-fat side items, leave the butter in the kitchen, and enjoy!
